Error message while Performing Migration of Location and Logistics Area

"Migration terminated; contact your service adviser"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Go to Implementation Projects view or Overview
3. Search and Open the migration activity Migration of Location and Logistics Area
4. Select the link Migrate Location and Logistics Area using the Migration tool
5. Select the ABC.xml file  
6. Execute Migration Step by Step
7. At Simulate Import stage you will see the below error

"Error detected Migration terminated; contact your service adviser"

Potential cause for the issue is that  Location ID XYZ is not marked as Storage Location and respective location do not have a Supply Planning Area associated in the source record. Thus, the migration fails and you are getting the error.

To resolve this issue, in the migration template mark the Storage Location as X and also assosicate the Supply Planning Area to the respective XYZ Location in the source record
