3245065 - Locking "sa" login failed with Msg 17478 when a login with sa_role/sso_role has negative suid - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Executing sp_locklogin "sa" failed with the following messages:

    Msg 17478 , Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ase1611hf1', Procedure 'sp_locklogin', Line 1511:
    Operation failed. There must be at least one unlocked login with role sa_role
  • There is a user account that has sa_role/sso_role enable. 
  • The suid for this user account is a negative number.
