3246369 - "Please select an application name" error when trying to save a new Assertion Consumer Service

Symptom

When trying to save a new application to the Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings an error populates which is shown below.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Instance's provisioning environment;
  2. Navigate to "Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings";
  3. Provide all relevant information;
  4. Click save button and receive the error message;

Cause

One or more of the previously added applications does not have the field "Application Name" filled

Resolution

  1. Select the Application Name that is correct for the current application.
  2. From the drop down choose the correct Application Name for the implementation.
  3. If there is not an option to choose that correlates to the application being configured, then choose the "Other Application" option at the bottom of the list. 
  4. IMPORTANT Do not leave the Application Name section with the default of "-Please Select-".
