3246520 - How to change the ATP checking scope of a planned order

Symptom

You have maintained a material in several storage locations within a plant, for example, some for production and some for storage.
You want to know what's the checking scope (plant level or storage location level) of the ATP check for the planned orders in which the material is a component.
Also, you want to adjust the checking scope and make the ATP check result as you want based on your business needs.

Resolution

To change the checking scope, there are 2 main steps.
1. Check in the planned order what's the ATP checking rule. Open the corresponding planned order and do the following steps:

Now we can see "SR-P1" is the checking rule of this planned order.

2. Find the checking rule in SSCUI 101009 - Configure Scope of Availability Check and change it:

The indicator "Without Storage Location Check" controls the checking scope. If you set this indicator, the ATP check will be carried out on a plant level. Otherwise, only the production storage location will be considered. You can adjust it based on your business needs.
