While adding the supplier role to the business partner, below error occurs:

"Required field Correspondence lang. has no entry, Message no. R1304."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open "Maintain business partner" application.
2. Open the Business partner which has employee role.
3. Add supplier role.
4. Error message is displayed.

Language has not been maintained in the source or target.

• When Business Partner has BP roles Employment (BUP010) and Employee (BUP003), it is not possible to edit few details in Maintain Business Partner or Manage Business Partner Master data. This needs to be updated only using the workforce person integration channels API, Excel, SAP Master Data Integration, JB1, Manage Workforce app.
• Maintain the correspondence language for the employment BP as well as the employee BP which are linked to the employee.
• Refer below steps, to update details using Manage Workforce app:

1. 1. Go to Manage Workforce app.
   2. Select the BP and edit.
   3. Enter the Correspondence Language details.
   4. Save the changes.
