3246758 - Print Preview (Inplace display) of PDF documents in SAP GUI is using another PDF viewer instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader

Symptom

When displaying PDF documents inplace as Print Preview in SAP GUI for Windows, a different PDF viewer is being used instead of Adobe Acrobat Reader (e.g, Nitro Pro):

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Be aware the above-mentioned symptom and resolution for this issue is only valid when Internet explorer is being used as browser control ( you can check the browser control settings going to SAP GUI options dialog> "Interaction Design">"Control Settings"). Microsoft Edge-related mechanisms changed PDF display inplace/outplace.
