3246855 - External user unable to access a group through SAP JAM

Symptom

A user is getting the authentication error while trying to login to SAP Jam.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Try to log in to JAM system
    Result: User is redirected to generic JAM login page

Cause

While internal/company users are maintained in BizX (or IAS if SAP Jam is not integrated with BizX), external users are not. 

Resolution

If your guests have trouble registering for SAP Jam, ensure that:

  • Your guests have carefully read the instructions in the email invitation.
  • Your guests have registered with the same email address that you entered for them in their invitation.
  • You sent your guests an invitation to the group, and did not forward a link.
