3246886 - Custom Grouping (Custom Hierarchy) option is not available for Calendar Day (0CALDAY)

You want to create a Custom Group (Custom Hierarchy) based on a 0CALDAY dimension and notice that the option "Create Custom Group" is not available.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Click on "Set Hierarchy" for a 0CALDAY dimension; 
2. On the Hierarchy help notice that "Create Custom Group" is not available; 

Flat navigation attributes e.g. (YEAR, MONTH) are supported, however for hierarchy time dimension like 0CALDAY (e.g. dimensions that are enabled to create a time variance) custom grouping is not supported and the option will be unavailable.
Also notice that BW dimensions that do not support hierarchies will not show the Set Hierarchy menu, and as an extension, will not support custom groupings.
