3246923 - HANA system can not start after system rename.

Symptom

After executing the system rename procedure, and try to restart HANA. Below error occurs:

 FAIL: The following processes are not running:
                hdbdaemon HDB Daemon

The daemon traces show error like:

  • [00000]{-1}[-1/-1] 0000-00-00 00:00:00.000000 e FileIO           LockFile.cpp(00000) : Cannot read pid file </usr/sap/XXX/HDB00/xxxxx//lock/hdbdaemon@30000.pid>: 0 ([no error]), 0 bytes read
  • [00000]{-1}[-1/-1] 0000-00-00 00:00:00.000000 e FileIO           LockFile.cpp(00000) : Cannot create lock file file </usr/sap/XXX/HDB00/xxxxx//lock/hdbdaemon@30000.pid>: 17 (File exists)
