3247278 - Exporting table with Scope option set to "All", some columns will be missing from the exported file in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • When exporting table from story with full scope to csv some columns will be missing from the exported file.
  • When exporting with Scope set to "Point of View" the exported file will have <x> columns (expected value), when doing the same for Scope "All" the exported file will contain only <less then x> columns.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.15.8

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC tenant.
  2. Open story containing the table.
  3. Export table to CSV with Scope "All".
  4. See the exported table has less columns than the actual table or when exporting with Scope "Point of View".

Cause

This is the current product design.

Resolution

  • When exporting a table to CSV with option "All" , the properties, which even has been added into the table, are not exported.
  • When exporting a table to CSV with option "Point of View" ,  the properties that have been added into the table are exported.

  • So in some scnerios, there are more columns when exporting a table as CSV with the option "Point of View".
