3247308 - Error when changing SAPSR3's password with sybctrl when sp_extrapwdchecks is activated

Symptom

  • Custom Password Check has been activated by creating stored procedure "sp_extrapwdchecks" in master database.
  • Following that, the execution of "sybctrl set_connect_passwd" returns the following error:

    • ERROR: password change on database failed.
      Error: setting password for connect user failed.

  • The following is returned in the dev_sybctrl trace log file:

    • EDbSlBegRead: rc 99, SQL-error 11188 => [ASE Error SQL11188]Cannot alter login. ERROR: password change on database failed.
