This article describes how to create the template and enable the email trigger for Manual Candidate Creation. This trigger is responsible for sending a notification message containing account details to candidates who are created manually.

How to Add Candidates Manually in Candidate Search?

a. Go to Candidates > Candidate Search (Keyword and Item Search) > Add Candidate > Add a Single Candidate

b. Populate the Candidate Details

Note: Other ways to add candidates manually to the system include importing candidates in bulk via CSV file or creating them using API.

How to setup Manual Candidate Creation Email Template and Triggers?

Prerequisites

Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permission > Manage Recruiting > Manage Recruiting Email Templates
Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > [Role] > Permission > Manage Recruiting > Recruiting Email Triggers

a. In Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Email Templates, create the email template to be associated to the 'Recruiting Manual Candidate Creation Notification' email trigger.

b. Each candidate locale available in the External Career site should have a corresponding template. This means if there are 3 candidate languages available in the External Career site, i.e., English US, German, French, the reset password template has to have translations for each languages. 

Note: Verify that the languages are enabled in Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Languages.

c. Make sure the status of the template is Enabled. 

d. When saving or making changes to the template, use 'Validate Standard Tokens' to validate if the tokens added in the template are supported.

e. It is not recommended for the email template associated with the trigger to have CC or BCC as this can result in the email not being sent. The system works this way as the password should not be sent to anyone other than the account holder.

Note: 'Recruiting Manual Candidate Creation Notification' trigger uses [[RECRUITING_PASSWORD_RESET_URL]] token for password reset whereas 'Career Site Password Reset for external candidates' trigger uses the [[LOGIN_URL]] token. If the 2 tokens are interchanged, it can lead to the URLs not working properly. 

f. Associate the created email template to 'Recruiting Manual Candidate Creation Notification' email trigger under Admin Center > Recruiting Email Triggers.

g. Make sure the status of the trigger is Enabled and there are no CC or BCC values associated to the trigger.
