Symptom
- Some specific functions are based on the so called 'Business object type' of an SAP object. E.g. GOS functionality (transaction OAC3) or Workflow related functions like 'Event type linkage' (transaction SWETYPV). It can be maintained in transaction SWO1.
- It is not clear how to determine the 'Business object type' for a sales document.
- You would like to use Archive Link functionality and you want to link a document type to an object type, a content repository, and a link table in transaction OAC3. You don't know what object type should be set up for specific sales documents.
- You would like to activate a workflow for a specific event which happens with a specific sales document type. You don't know which Business object type and its events are activated or checked when this specific sales document is maintained.
