3248308 - Error Message: Custom Code 1 Missing

You receive the error message "Custom code 1 missing", for example, while activating Employee's Expense Arrangement 123. (123 refers to Arrangement ID)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Travel and Expenses work center.
2. Go to the Expense Arrangements view.
3. Search for Arrangement ID: 123.
4. Select Validity Assignment Row.
5. Press Set to Active tab.
6. Error message is shown: "Custom code 1 missing."

For the respective account assignment type, here CC-Cost center, the  account assignment CUSTOM_CODE1-Custom Code 1 is maintained as mandatory.

Currently, custom codes are not supported in Expense Arrangement Cost Assignment user interface.

If it is possible to add the custom code in the screen that you are working in add the respective custom code.

Otherwise, change the account assignment CUSTOM_CODE1-Custom Code 1 from 1-mandatory to 2-optional:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center and access the Account Assignment Types fine-tune task. 
2. Press Maintain Account Assignment Types.
3. For Account Assignment Type: CC -Cost Center, the Available Account Assignments:CUSTOM_CODE1 - Custom Code 1 is maintained as 1 - Mandatory in the Data Input Control field.
4. Select 2 - Optional Data Input Control field.
5. Press Save and Close.
