3248900 - Error When Trying to Maintain a New Row for National Insurance Data "Employee must be aged between 16 and 60"

Symptom

You are receiving the error message below when trying to add a new row for National Insurance Data:

Employee must be aged between 16 and 60.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign 2208 and higher.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Personnel Administration work center.
  2. Then go to the Employees view.
  3. Search for the affected employee.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Go to the Social Insurance Data tab.
  6. Then go to the National Insurance Data tab.
  7. Click Add Row.
  8. Enter the required details.
  9. Click Save.
  10. System shows the error message.

Cause

Current behavior in the system has age limit determined based on gender. For males it's between 16 and 65 and for female it's between 16 and 60 for Category A.

Resolution

In case the Employee is under the rules above, kindly raise an incident to Support as a backend correction is required.
