3249204 - How to determine storage bin when posting goods receipt for production orders

You post goods receipt for production order with/without inbound deliveries to EWM warehouse.

You would like to know the system logic:

• Determine the storage bin at APP Post Goods Movement under Warehouse Management tab without inbound deliveries.
• Determine the Goods Movement Bin at inbound deliveries, it can be found at APP Change Inbound Deliveries - Production.

The storage bin can be determined with multiple settings that are evaluated in a given priority. .

With Delivery - Goods Movement Bin Determination

1. Customizing "Assign Storage Bins to Warehouse Process Type", the source storage bin can be assigned to the relevant Warehouse Process type(WPT).
2. APP Manage Procuction Versions(C223), the destination bin can be assigned to the finished and semifinished products.
3. You can use APP Determine Staging Area - Inbound(/SCWM/STADET_IN) to propose the bin.

Synchronous Goods Movement Without Delivery - Storage Bin Determination

1. Customizing "Assign Storage Bins to Warehouse Process Type", the source storage bin can be assigned to the relevant Warehouse Process type(WPT).
2. APP Manage Procuction Versions(C223), the destination bin can be assigned to the finished and semifinished products.

The source storage bin PR-AREA is assigned to the standard WPT S115, the source storage bin cannot be changed at customizing "Assign Storage Bins to Warehouse Process Type". system will always determine PR-AREA because WPT take the Priorty 1.

Please consider creating a customized WPT and determine it with customizing "Determine Warehouse Process Type". Then you can change the storage bin with the sequence mentioned.
