3249468 - Unable to Change Default Initial Status of Installed Base

Symptom

You notice that it is not possible to change the default initial status in which the installed base get's created.

Environment

SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Installed Bases work center.
  2. Click +.
  3. Add all details.
  4. Click Save or Save and Open.
  5. See the Installed Base get's created with status In Preparation.
  6. You would like to change this, so it get's created with status Active.

Cause

At the moment, the installed Base will be created by default with the status set as In Preparation, since in case mistakes are done during the creation, it is still possible to delete the same.

Resolution

This is the system designed behavior.
