3250380 - Is It Possible To Recover A Deleted Extension Field?


A key user extension field (KUT) was deleted and you would like to know if it is possible to recover it.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the desired screen.
  2. Start adaptation mode.
  3. Find the KUT field in adaptation and click on Edit.
  4. Click on Delete.
  5. The warning "This field may already be in use. Deleting the field will remove the field completely, including data that has already been saved to the database.If you use the field in a web service, you need to adapt the consumer or provider implementation." will be displayed.
  6. Confirm the warning by pressing Yes.


It is not possible to recover a deleted extension field. As a workaround, if the field is present in another tenant, you can use UTM (Transport management) to transfer the field to the affected system. However, field data cannot be restored.
