3250781 - Purchase Account Column Missing For CAIA Account Determination Profile

You want to assign purchase accounts in the Inventories Account Determination activity for the CAIA account determination profile. But the Purchase Account column is not available.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. In Business Configuration access the Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination fine tune task.
2. Go to Account Determination and choose Inventories.
3. Select the CAIA account determination profile. 
4. You notice that the Purchase Account column is missing.

Purchase Account Management is automatically activated for Spain France, Italy. However, the CAIA account determination profile is based on the IFRS chart of accounts and available for numerous country/regions. Therefore,  by default no specific country/region is assigned to the account determination profile. They must be assigned manually.

Assign the relevant country/region to the account determination profile:

1. In the  Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination fine tune task go to Account Determination and choose Inventories.
2. Select the CAIA account determination profile. 
3. Press Add Countries/Regions to Profile. 
4. In the pop-up window press Add Row and add the country/region of choice*.
5. Press OK.

Now the Purchase Account column is available.

*If you need to make Purchase Account Management available for country/regions other than Spain, France or Italy add the Activate Purchase Account Management for Additional Countries fine-tune activity to your profile and make the respective adjustments (see below).
