Symptom
Why when I import data into a process in Process Intelligence does my currency column show the error ''50% of the data is not compatible'.
Environment
SAP Signavio Process Intelligence 3.0
Reproducing the Issue
- Open Process Intelligence.
- Create a new process via the 'New Process' button on the right hand side.
- Name the process and press 'Create'.
- On the data tab, click the browse button in the Import data box.
- Select a file that includes negative values shown by using preceded with (slashes) and press import.
- In the newly opened page, select the column in your excel sheet which will act as the Case ID, the Activity Name and the End Timestamp.
- See that when you finish this selection the currency column will say 50% of the data is compatible.
Cause
The data is being shown as 'not compatible' in our system as we at SAP Signavio use negative exchange rates for inverting currency conversions. That is, we show negative values by preceding numbers with minuses (-). You are however preceding your values with slashes (/) instead and is thus causing the error.
Resolution
To fix the issue, please swap out all the slashes (/) you use in your data to represent negative numbers for minus (-) signs.
