3251044 - Not Possible to Update Safety Stock of a Material to Zero Using Mass Data Maintenance

When using the Mass Data Maintenance tool, the value for field Safety Stock is not updated when you try to change the existing value to 0.

1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center view.
3. Click on Export Materials.
4. Select the material to be updated, select the Planning tab and click on Export to CSV.
5. Open the downloaded CSV file and change the Safety Stock field to 0.
6. In the Mass Data Maintenance view, click on Import Materials.
7. Upload the file, and execute the import.

Here you can see that although the import process is executed, the field value is not changed in the material UI.

In the Mass Data Maintenance, the zero value is interpreted as the initial value for the numeric field. Considering that the Mass Data Maintenance does not support the clearing of fields, the change to an initial value is ignored by the tool.

The system works as expected. The change of the safety stock needs to be done either manually, or through direct webservice request.
