3251565 - Error Message During Creation of a Marketing Area on Manage Your Solution App

Symptom

The error message below shows up when trying to add a new marketing area to the system using the activity "Define Marketing Areas" on "Manage Your Solution" app:

No authorization to display TDC /SMB99/MKT_AREA_ID_DMG_J01 (required for centraldata), check SU53

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Manage your solution app.
  2. Click on Configure your solution.
  3. Open the activity "Define Marketing Areas".
  4. Click on "New Entries".
  5. Put the necessary data.
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Notice the error message.

Cause

The business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_CBC_PC is not assigned to the user who is trying to add the marketing area.

Resolution

Add the business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_CBC_PC to the business role BR_BPC_EXPERT_MKT and assign this business role to the affected user.
