3251615 - How to find Time Sheet external code in manage data

Symptom

  • Unable to find a time sheet with the external code that it is in the trace in manage data-employee time sheet 
  • Employee time sheet external code not searchable from Manage Data -> Employee Time sheet Object 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors Timesheet

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employee Time Sheet UI 
  2. Click on Trace
  3. copy the External code 
  4. Go to Manage Data--> Employee Time sheet
  5. enter the external code --> Not searchable

Cause

  • externalCode is not part of searchable for Employee Time sheet Object 

Resolution

  1. Go to Configure Object Definition 
  2. Provide the Object name as "Employee Time sheet"
  3. Take Action--> Make Correction
  4. under Searchable Fields , add externalCode , and save

  • Make the visibility  as Read Only for the field externalCode  under configure Object Definition ->Employee Time Sheet
