Symptom
This KBA will explain how to download the Story report data, the scenarios we have when exporting story report Table and Chart weight.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
When exporting Story, there are usually two scenarios, one is to export the full Story page, and the other is to export a separate Chart/Table.
Resolution
1. Export on Story Level (All the pages).
File -> Export -> Select the file Type -> Click on Export.
Note, if the results are not as expected, consider the following:
- Story pages are exported in the state at the time of the export.
- Scrollable charts and tables display only the visible sections in the PDF and PowerPoint files.
- Page size is defined by the visible content of the story pages: for PDF, the pages will be scaled up; for PowerPoint the content will be scaled down.
- The PDF will only include the data available in the UI, if you need to scroll down or to horizontal to see more details, these data will not be exported.
2. Export on Component(Table/Chart) level:
Click on component -> 3 dots option -> Click on Export -> Select the File Type -> Click on Ok
Note:
For Table component export, when the Table Structure is “Non-Aggregated List”, File Type: XLSX only support point of view export. When the Table Structure is "Cross-Tab", export both support with "XLSX" and "CSV" File type.
Also due to the architecture provided by SAC, we can't customize the default values settings of File Type and Scope of export windows.
