3252570 - HADR state "Path is sleeping for memory" for SRS

Symptom

  • HADR stopped replication
  • "sap_status path" showing:

    Site1.Site2.SID    State                         Sleeping For Memory           Path is sleeping for memory. Transactions are not being replicated. 
    Site1.Site2.SID   Failing Command Error Message Failing Command Error Message The SQT thread in the Replication Server on the Site2 host for database 'SID_Site1_R2.SID' is in sleeping for memory state.
  • Site2 replication error log reported message like:

    W. 2022/01/01 12:45:09. WARNING #7038 DSI EXEC(103(5) SID_Site2.SID) - de/generic/mem/mem.c(2912)
     WARNING: Memory usage is above 80 percent. Increase 'memory_limit' or reduce cache sizes to avoid repserver threads from sleeping due to lack of memory.
    W. 2022/01/01 12:45:10. WARNING #7039 DSI EXEC(103(5) SID_Site2.SID) - de/generic/mem/mem.c(2912)
     WARNING CANCEL: Memory usage is below 80 percent.
