3252623 - SuccessFactors Employee Central IAS Integration with Litmos

Symptom

This article will help configure SSO between SF IAS tenant and Litmos using SAML protocol

Environment

SAP Litmos Training

Resolution

Step 1: Login to the IAS tenant.

Step 2: Create Application in IAS tenant.

  1. Navigate to Applications > Create Application.
  2. Input: Application Display Name: SAP Litmos, Application Home URL: https://xxx.litmos.com (use AU and EU urls accordingly), Application type: Other SAP cloud solution.
  3. Click 'Save' and you will find this under bundled applications

Step 3: Setting up SAML configuration

  1. Login to your SAP Litmos site.
  2. Navigate to 'Account Settings > Integrations > SAML 2.0'.
  3. Download metadata by clicking on the hyperlink 'Click here to download service-provider SAML metadata'
  4. Navigate back to the IAS tenant
  5. Navigate to Applications > SAP Litmos > SAML 2.0 Configuration 
  6. Under 'Define from Metadata' section, click Browse and upload the downloaded Metadata file. 
  7. You will notice that the rest of the fields will be automatically populated. 
  8. Ensure the SAML Endpoint is correct.
  9. Select the Default radio button.
  10. Ensure that the Signing Certificate has validity.
  11. Ensure 'Sign assertions', 'Single Sign logout message' and 'Required signed single logout messages' is enabled. 
  12. Click 'Save'.

 

Step 4: Set Subject Name identifier

  1. Select Basic attribute : E-Mail
  2. Select fallback attribute : Display Name
  3. Click 'Save'.

Step 5: Set Assertion Attributes

  1. First Name: FirstName
  2. Last Name: LastName
  3. E-Mail: Email

Step 6: Create IDP for SSO login in Litmos

  1. Login to Litmos and navigate to 'Account Settings > Integrations > SAML 2.0'.
  2. Select the IDP to configure
  3. Tick the checkbox against 'Enable service-provider initiated single-sign on from Litmos'
  4. Fill up the following fields
    • IdP Descriptor with a name unique to identify the IDP
    • IdP Login URL- Navigate to 'Applications and Resoursces > Tenant Settings > SAML 2.0 configurations and copy the Single Sign-On Endpoint (HTTP POST) and paste it into Litmos. 
    • IdP Logout URL - Navigate to 'Applications and Resoursces > Tenant Settings > SAML 2.0 configurations and copy the Single Sign-Out Endpoint (HTTP POST) and paste it into Litmos. 
    • SAML Metadata - Navigate to 'Applications and Resoursces > Tenant Settings > SAML 2.0 configurations and download Metadata file.Then open the metadata file in notepad and copy the full data apart from <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> and paste it into SAML Metadata section.
    • Enable 'Autogenerate users'.
    • Click 'Save'.

Step 7: SSO Login in Litmos

Launch your Litmos account and click Login with SSO.
