3253155 - App "Balance sheet/Income statement - Multidimensional" report not showing period data

Symptom

App "Balance sheet/Income statement - Multidimensional" report not showing period data when selecting one period as input parameter, at least one of the below errors are being displayed:

  • "The result set does not contain any relevant data";
  • "Financial statement version does not exist";
  • Message no. DBMAN305 -"Error reading the data of InfoProvider 2CIFIFINSTMTCUBE";
  • Message no. BRAIN289 -"Error while reading data; navigation is possible".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional, select one FSV and choose one period as input parameter;
  2. Click Go, then no data available, and below errors are being displayed:

  • "The result set does not contain any relevant data";
  • "Financial statement version does not exist";
  • Message no. DBMAN305 -"Error reading the data of InfoProvider 2CIFIFINSTMTCUBE";
  • Message no. BRAIN289 -"Error while reading data; navigation is possible".

Cause

Check the Financial Statement Version chosen in the app Manage Global Hierarchies and check the valid from date. The Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional will not display any data for intervals that end before this date.

Resolution

To solve this issue set the "Valid from" date to some date in the past like 1.1.1900.
