3253678 - Announcement to customers who are using SAP CPQ with Salesforce Integration

Symptom

  • Salesforce.com has announced on July 12, 2022, that they will be retiring their REST APIs version 21 through 30 in their “Summer 23” release.
  • These APIs are expected to no longer function after June 23, 2023.
  • Here is a link to the information provided by Salesforce.com.

  • We are notifying you of this change as these APIs are the basis of the integration between SAP CPQ and Salesforce CRM.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Resolution

  • To provide uninterrupted support of the integration between SAP CPQ and Salesforce CRM, SAP will be moving forward with a partner-based integration.
  • Customers using the current integration will need to migrate to the new partner-based integration before the Salesforce.com APIs no longer function.
  • This migration will involve both a contractual and technical update.

  • Customers who are currently using SAP CPQ based on a CallidusCloud Agreement will need to migrate their contract to an SAP Agreement by 12/31/2022 to access this new integration methodology.

  • On the technical side, SAP will engage with customers supported by the partner to implement this integration.
  • Please begin the process of allocating resources to this effort as soon as possible.

  • Customers also have the option to license the partner-based integration directly from the partner, use an integration from other vendors, or move to a custom-built integration.

  • Detailed information about the migration steps are available on dedicated SAP CPQ Help page.
