3254214 - An unexpected calculation error occurred when you run an advanced formula step using a Date related function in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC)

The following error occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC):

• when you run a specific multi action: The multi action "xxx" has failed because of the following issues in one of its steps: - The data action step "yyy" has failed. An unexpected technical error occurred when processing the data action "yyy" on version "zzz". The error has been logged.
• when you run a specific data action: An unexpected calculation error occurred in step x of data action "yyy" running on version "zzz".

The same data action worked fine before the version upgrade.

The advance formula step contains some Date related functions, for example: DATEDIFF, TODAY.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.8.14

Something is wrong with the Date dimension of the model of this data action.

1. Open the model.
2. OpenModel Preferences.
3. Go to Date Settings.
4. If the current value of Fiscal Period Name Label is Period Number, change it to Month.
   If the current value of Fiscal Period Name Label is Month, change it to Period Number.
5. Save the model.
6. Change Fiscal Period Name Label back to the original value.
7. Save the model.
