3254429 - Serial Number and Quantity Mismatch for Output Product

Error ocurrs when confirming check task for production,

"Serial Number and Quantity mismatch for Output Product XXX".

SAP Business Bydesign

1. Go to Production Control Work Center.
2. Navigate to Task Control View.
3. Search for the check task.
4. Choose Confirm button.
5. Choose Finish Result Recording button.
6. Choose Finsh Task button.
7. Choose Save button, then the error occurs.

The issue occurred since serial number was confirmed before doing finish results recording.

If the serial numbers (SNs) are entered in the Confirmation tab, without clicking finish result recording. Confirmation will be created for the entered quantity, but the inspection will still be un-finished.

Check task cannot be finished without completing the inspection. So later when finish result recording is clicked the system expects to enter serial number for the inspected quantity, which creates inconsistency.

This issue can be avoided by entering the serial number in check task before clicking " Finish result recording".

For the affected check task, as a workaround, you can reverse the corresponding production confirmation, then confirm again by clicking "Finish results recording" and entering SNs for output product.
