3254460 - SUM cannot be continued in MAIN_SWITCH/STARTSAP_TRANS phase

• During system update using Software update manager (SUM) in  phase MAIN_SWITCH/STARTSAP_TRANS  the following error is reported in <SAPup_troubleticket.txt>
• Error message set: '11ULException: sapcontrol error at StartWait: FAIL: Timeout

• Here is seen, that ASCS01 instance is still running, the  Enqueue Server and Message Server are running in a separate instance. At this SUM phase ASCS instance should not be up. Enqueue Server and Message Server processes should run under the Primary instance.
