3255117 - Not possible to delete scope items (scenarios) after activating it

Symptom

After adding some scope items to a CBC project and completed the scope you clicked on Edit button in Define Scope and expect to be able to delete (remove) some unwanted (or not needed anymore) scope items, but the remove button is greyed out.

OR 

If the system is a Manage Your Solution after scope items are added you intend to request the deletion of unwanted (or not needed anymore) scope items.

Environment

SAP Central Business Configuration.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

* Valid for Manage Your Solution 

Cause

The selection can't be changed once the scoping is completed.

Resolution

Once the scoping is completed the content is deployed to S4HANA Cloud target system and cannot be deleted (removed) anymore.

  • You can only add scope. It is not possible to delete any countries/regions, bundles, or scenarios.

You can review your scope before changing the status of Define Scope project activity to Completed and completing the milestone. Please refer to SAP Help Portal Defining Scope.
