When confirming a pick task, click Propose Quantities and Logistics Areas for a line item, warning triggered:

"Line item X: Action processed with warnings
-----> Determination of source inventory failed for product ABC
----------> Inventory in logistics area not available"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Go to Task Control View.
3. Select a task, click Confirm.
4. For line item X (X represents the line item number) with product ABC (ABC represents the product ID), click Propose Quantities and Logistics Areas, warning triggered:

        "Line item X: Action processed with warnings
          -----> Determination of source inventory failed for product ABC
          ----------> Inventory in logistics area not available"

The Material Flow Rules on Site level is causing the issue. For source determination in site where this pick task happens, there is a rule set up to find stock in logistics areas. However, since there is no available stock of product ABC in the logistics areas, system failed to propose quantity and source logistics area for this product.

You need to remove these logistics areas from the source determination rule and add a FIFO strategy for the site itself. Then the propose quantity and logistics area button will find a logistics area in this site which contains the stock of product ABC.
