3255688 - [Onboarding] Error in the Latest Homepage when you click on the Welcome Message Card

When we click on the Welcome Message Card, we are receiving an application error. I am unable to view the "Your Onboarding Journey" due to an application error as well. 

Error Message: Application error happened: An application error occurred. Click Refresh or try again later. If this still doesn’t work, please contact Product Support.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

The error in logs pointed to Email/ Business Phone Information not coming in correctly via WorkProfile API. 

Cause 1:

• The User (External or Internal User) who is receiving the error does not have sufficient RBP Permissions to read the Managers Email Address and Phone Number. 

Cause 2:

• Onboarding BPE Service User does not have sufficient RBP Permissions to read the Managers Email Address and Phone Number.

Cause 3:

• The candidates manager does not have the contact information in the Employee Profile/UDF. Business Email Address and Phone Number is mandatory for the Manager to display the onboarding tasks without any error.

Solution 1 and 2:

• Go to Manage Permission Role > Any RBP Role/OnboardingBPEAdmin the Affected User is a part of 
• Click on Permissions > Employee Data
• Under "Employee Profile" , enable "Email" and "Business Phone Number"
• Click on Save

Solution 3:

• The Manager should have valid Contact Information in their respective Employee Profile.
• The Business Email and Phone Information should be available in the Employee Profile and UDF.

NOTE: The Welcome Message will contain information related to the Manager Business Email Address and Manager Phone Number. The user viewing the welcome message card should have permission to see the manager details via WorkProfile API.
