3256004 - Manage Channel Partners API Obsolete

Symptom

You are using API ManageChannelPartnerIn and noticed is it obsolete. You wonder when this happened and why.

Cause

There was no active usage of the Portal since many customers were either using their own portal solutions or providing direct access to C4C using limited license model. This is why developers were asking any new customers to follow this too as an alternative.

Resolution

The end-of-life for PCM Portal was announced with 2005 release notes. PCM Portal has been sunset and its maintenance was supported until 2008 release. This information was conveyed to customers via release notes and online help document updates.
