3256340 - Duplicate values of picklist data in the downloaded report file

Symptom

Excel sheet filter on picklist column is displaying the values twice.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
- Analytics & Reporting (Ad Hoc, YouCalc, ORD)
  - Advanced Reporting (ODS)

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Report Center.
2. Create a new report with picklist columns.
3. Download the report data to the local machine and open the file in excel/csv.
4. The filter on picklist column shows duplicate values. (Example: The filter on picklist column 'Designation' is showing the value 'Manager' twice)

Cause

The behavior is due to the value stored in the database.

The values are saved as "Manager" and "Manager ". The space " " has been appended at the end of second "Manager "

This is making the difference resulting in Duplicate values being displayed in output file.

Resolution

Correct the data by removing space at the end of value.
