3256586 - Automatic Release of Production Proposal And Creation of Production Order

You are creating Production Proposal and when you click Save, the System is Automatically Releasing the Proposal and Creating Production Order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Supply Planning work center.
2. Go to the Products view.
3. Find and select the relevant Product ID.
4. Click Open to open the Product Planning Details.
5. Click Run Planning and select "Multi BoM Level".
6. Click OK.
7. You can see that after the Planning Run has been executed that the Production Proposals have been created.
8. Click Save.
9. You can see that the system has released the Proposals automatically released and the Production Requests have the Status: Production Order Creation Started.

You have scoped Production Order Creation Strategy in your Business Configuration and selected the Default Production Order Creation Strategy: A010 - Automatic creation of production order.

This is not a bug as the system is working as designed. If you do not wish for the Production Order Creation to automatically start, please change your Default Production Order Creation Strategy to: B010 - Manual creation of production order.

You can change the settings by following the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Business Configuration work center. 
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view. 
3. Find and select the relevant Implementation Project.
4. Click Open Activity List and Show All Activities.
5. Find and select Production Order Creation Strategy.
6. Click Open.
7. Click Set the default production order creation strategy.
8. You can see that the currently selected Code is: A010 - Automatic creation of production order.
9. Please change the code to: B010 - Manual creation of production order per your requirement.
10. Save your changes.
