3257205 - Inactive users are shown in the mobile app although user does not have permission [SF MOB]

Symptom

  • In the SuccessFactors Mobile App, inactive users' name are shown in the global search header although the employee who is searching does not have permission to search for the inactive users via Manage Hires > Include Inactive Employees in the search
  • The employee can find the inactive employees in the search but cannot see their personal and employment details
  • The employee without permission for "include inactive employees in the search" cannot find the inactive employees in the web browser version of SuccessFactors

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Mobile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. [SF Web] Login using support access
  2. In action/people search, search for an inactive user
  3. Go to Settings > Mobile
  4. Select Activate via Camera
  5. [SF Mob] Launch the SF app
  6. Scan QR Code
  7. Go to Search
  8. Search for the inactive user
  9. Error shows "Failed to load data. Please try again."

Resolution

  • The fix for the issue requires a feature enhancement.
  • The feature is adopted by web but not by mobile so inconsistency of name displayed in people search results may appear.
