Symptom

When two of my Dictionary entries are merged, is the text in 'Custom Attribute' of entry A mixed with the text from 'Custom Attribute' of entry B or is one of the entries custom attribute text deleted?

Environment

SAP Signavio Process Manager 3.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Editor
  2. Click Dictionary item in left hand panel.
  3. Select two Dictionary entries
  4. Click the 'Merge Dictionary Entries' button in the top menu.
  5. See the 'Merge Dictionary Entries' dialog box.
  6. Select the attributes you would like to keep from each entry.
  7. Press Merge.
  8. See that the two Dictionary entries have been merged into one.

Resolution

No, the text from Dictionary entry A's 'Custom Attribute' will not be mixed with text from Dictionary entry B's 'Custom Attribute' as in the 'Merge Dictionary Entries' dialog box you have to chose one of the Dictionary entries custom attribute information to keep.
