Symptom

ASE errorlog reports error 2824

  • Followed by a stack trace including modules proc__linktopss, s_getTreeOrPlan and vu_getviewdefn
  • The errorlog sequence includes

    Error: 2824, Severity: 19, State: 2
    Process xxxx cannot hold PROC_BUF 0x0x2ab0281bc990 named 'view_name' because it holds another PROC_BUF 0x0x2ab03667cfd0 named 'another_view_name'.
    A process can only hold one view, rule, or default at a time.
         
  • With a stack trace including modules

    proc__linktopss
    proc_get
    s_getTreeOrPlan
    vu_getviewdefn
    vu_analyze_view
    vu_call_analyze_view
