Symptom
You want to use Myanmar (Burmese) fonts in an ABAP based SAP system.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Cause
Adobe Document Server (ADS) does not support Burmese fonts.
Resolution
- Display on a Windows based frontend (SAPGUI or html based fronted) and printing with a Windows based device type (for example SWINCF) are supported only with Windows 10. Note: Do not use 3rd party solutions offering input methods and fonts that are not based on Unicode. Only Unicode texts can be handled in a Unicode SAP system.
- The SAP language code MY for Myanmar (Burmese) can only be used in a Unicode system. General information about Unicode-only language keys can be found in SAP note 895560.
- Printing of ABAP lists may work only with device type SWINCF (as outlined in SAP note 1866491), but not with other device types including UPE (SAP note 1812076).
- Print preview and printing of Sapscript and Smartforms are not supported.
- PDF conversion is not supported.
- SAP Interactive Forms by Abobe (IFbA) are not supported.
