3259174 - Message "Employee Central credentials weren't saved" when connection data is set on ECP

Symptom

Message "Employee Central credentials weren´t saved" is returned by report RP_HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIGURATION (or tx. HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIG).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Run report RP_HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIGURATION selecting "Connect with UserID & Password" option.
  2. Message "Employee Central credentials weren´t saved" is returned:

Cause

Error "Employee Central credentials weren't saved" is usually raised when user doesn´t have authorization to update table HRSFEC_PTP_CRED.

Resolution

Check missing authorizations on tx. SU53 and make sure that user running the configuration report has authorizations to update table HRSFEC_PTP_CRED.
