3259188 - Stories Blank screen issue due to mismatched SAML Issuer settings between BizX/IAS and SAC

Symptom

When attempting to create or run a Story Report in SAP SuccessFactors, the screen gets stuck on a loading state (e.g., spinning dots or blank screen), and the report never opens.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SuccessFactors
  2. Navigate to Reporting
  3. Click on 'Create'
  4. Choose 'Story'
  5. Loading screen appears with no progress

Cause

The SAML Issuer settings in BizX/IAS do not match the configuration in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). This mismatch prevents proper authentication and loading of the Story Report.

Resolution

1. Check in Provisioning

  1. Go to Provisioning > Single Sign-On Features
  2. Select the correct SAML Asserting Party (IdP)
  3. Ensure the SAML Issuer matches the IAS URL and is enabled

2. Check in IAS

  1. Go to IAS Admin Console > Applications & Resources > Tenant Settings > SAML 2.0 Configuration
  2. Verify that the Name field matches the SAML Issuer in Provisioning

3. Contact SAP Support

  1. If the settings match but the issue persists, contact SAP Support. Internal KBA 3508833
