3259334 - Payment request failed with an error in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

The buyer is on SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing integrated with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway. Previously, when a buyer created a payment request for an invoice containing a line item with zero price and discount in SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, the payment request failed in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA with the following error:

The value NaN is not in the value range of XML schema type decimal or it does not meet the specified limitations.
