3259573 - MDF Alert error not generated

• Alert configured on custom MDF object is not getting triggered.
• Alert is not triggering as expected. 
• Alert on workflow is not getting trigged post save of the workflow/request. 

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Log onto SF. 
2. Proxy as user who wishes to create an entry on the affected MDF object. 
3. Go to Employee profile of the user. 
4. Add a new record to the affected object to trigger the workflow request. 
5. Proxy/log into SF as the approver for the request triggered. 
6. Go to workflow requests.
7. Proceed to approve the workflow. 
8. Notice that the alert once approved is not triggered as expected as per configuration on post save rules. 
9. Workflow is approved and completed without the desired/expected alert. 

Corresponding alert does not exist in Manage Data.

• Create an Alert Message. Go to Manage Data > Create New > select the object AlertMessage.
• Ensure you can find the message under Manage Datas > Alert Message after configuring the message.
