3260338 - Master data updates to level based hierarchy level attributes may cause selections/filters in SAP Analytics Cloud to no longer be applied

• Story or Widget Filters not working.
• After making Master Data changes, the Story Filters are no longer applied.
• Changing properties of a member contained in a level based hierarchy causes existing Story or Widget filters to no longer be applied in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2022

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a Story based on a Model that has a level based hierarchy.
2. Add a Story Filter, or a Widget Filter.
3. Do a Master Data Change. 
4. When viewing the Story, the Story / Widget Filter no longer works.

• When making master data changes, if the change results in a member no longer being unique within any given level, the hierarchy path will change and existing references to the hierarchy inside stories will no longer function correctly.
     
• Master Data changes that result in the change to the uniqueness of members within a level, will break existing Filters defined inside a Story.
  
  For Example: If we have the following:
  
  

  Member ID	Season	Year
  202001	Winter	2020
  202002	Summer	2020

  And the hierarchy levels is:
  Level 1: Member ID
  Level 2: Season
  Level 3: Year
  
  If we update the Master Data, and the result is like:

  Member ID	Season	Year
  202001	Winter	2020
  202002	Summer	2020
  202101	Winter	2021
  202102	Summer	2021

  And when updating a property that causes any change to it's uniqueness, it will break existing Story Filters.
  
  In this example, the Season: Winter, and Summer, are no longer unique, and this cause any existing Story with a Filter defined on a level based hierarchy to no longer work correctly.

• Master data changes that could impact the uniqueness of a level attribute member include: adding new data, updating existing member values, as well as removing members.
      
• Modeler or Story calculations with a selection on the modified LBH member may no longer return the same data.

• In the Story, re-create the Filters.
