3260793 - Confirm Milestone: Scoping Complete Failed

You are performing Confirm Milestone: Design Accepted on your Change Project and the error is shown as

Confirm Milestone: Scoping Complete failed; retry or report an incident

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration Work center
2. Go to Implementation Project and Select the respective Project
3. Go to Open Activity List
4. Go to Activity Confirm Milestone: Design Accepted
5. Select the Design Accepted Checkbox
6. Confirm

The issue is because of  foreign key errors in Custom Solution in the Change Project

In this solution, a BC set is introduced for Accounting Principles. In this BC set there could be a Regrouping Method 0001 which is used.
This Regrouping Method 0001 is a value that is delivered by SAP.

The value can only be used if one of the below three functions are in scope.

a) Customer Invoicing or
b) Supplier Invoicing or
c) Expense and Reimbursement Management

So the Regrouping Method 0001 can only be used in the custom solution if one of the mentioned SAP delivered business topics are in scope.

You can check the scoping by following the below steps:

Go to Business Configuration Work center.
Go to the Implementation Projects View.
Select the project and select “Edit Project Scope”
Go to the Scoping step
Expand the scoping element Sale to see if Customer Invoicing is not scoped
Expand the scoping element Purchasing to see if Supplier Invoicing is not scoped
Expand the scoping element Travel and Expenses to see if Expense and Reimbursement Management is not scoped

You should have to ensure that you scope one of the functionalities(Customer Invoicing/Supplier Invoicing/Expense and Reimbursement Management) if you want to use the BC Set which uses Regrouping Method

The Solution needs to be adjusted.
