3261083 - How to update existing Job Information record via import?

Symptom

What should I do if I want to update existing Job Information record via Import Employee Data > Job Information entity?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

  • Import Employee Data
  • Job Information

Resolution

  1. Go to Import Employee Data<Download Template
  2. Download Job Information template
  3. Fill in all information. Under seq-number column, write down the sequence number of the record needed to be updated
  4. Go to Import Employee Data<Import Data
  5. Choose
    • Entity Job Information
    • purge type: Incremental Load
    • select the new created file
  6. Click Import button

Pay attention to select the sequence number in 3. step.

  • If there is only one record in that event date, put number 1 in seq-number column
  • If there are more than one record in that event date, the records in Job History UI should be displayed as A of B. Here, A is the sequence number and B is the total number of records that are effective from that date. Thus, put number A in seq-number column
