3261119 - RPM with Lower Priority Is Used When Call Web Service ManageProductionProposalIn.

Call web service ManageProductionProposalIn to create new production proposal. Check the proposal, it uses released palnning model (RPM) with lower priority.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data Work Center.
2. Go to Source Determination View.
3. Search product ABC (ABC represents product ID), there are two active released planning models, RPM_1 and RPM_2 (both represent RPM ID).
4. Click Change Source of Supply Priority, RPM_1 has priority 1 and RPM_2 has priority 2.
5. Call web service ManageProductionProposalIn to create a new production proposal for product ABC in corresponding site.
6. Check the newly-created production proposal, it uses RPM_2 instead of RPM_1.

This is a known limitation of this web service. Few functionalities like prioritization of source of supply are not present in this web service. Currently the web service picks up the first available source of supply within validity period without checking its priority.

Please change the source of supply from UI if it is not expected.
