Symptom
SAP's main focus is on enhancing the user experience and interface, with numerous visual updates included in the latest release. The Horizon visual theme, which was introduced in 2H 2022, is now enabled by default for all customers and has replaced the older SAP Fiori themes Quartz (for Fiori 3) and Belize (for Fiori 2) on the most commonly accessed HXM Suite pages. The Horizon visual theme only affects the Look & Feel and does not impact functionality or data.

What is the recommended approach to adapting the SAP Horizon visual theme while maintaining brand consistency and maximizing the benefits of the theme compared to older themes?
→ When adapting to SAP Horizon visual theme we recommend that you create a custom theme that's based on one of the predefined themes in Theme Manager. First, duplicate one of the predefined themes to use as a starting point. Then, change some theme settings to apply your brand, such as logo or header background color, and keep most of the predefined colors and settings. This way you can get more profit from the theme and avoid these comparative with old themes.
During the early adoption phase on H2 2022, what is the scope of the Horizon visual theme in terms of supported pages, and how does enabling it affect the HXM Suite experience for both employees and admins? What is the scope of the releases that came later on.
During the early adoption phase on H2 2022 release, the Horizon visual theme was supported on many, but not all, pages. Older styling is still used on some pages. We'll add support for more pages over time.
The Horizon visual theme is intended primarily for common employee experiences, on the most commonly used pages. It isn't available on most Admin Center pages. The Horizon visual theme includes updates to the styling of many UI elements, such as text size and weight, rounded corners, icons, margin and padding, and shadows. -> During the early adoption phase on H2 2022, Horizon is fully supported in the following product areas: Home Page, People Profile, Organizational Chart, Dynamic Teams, SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace, SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking, Global Page Header, SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting
📌 Which product areas are excluded from the Horizon theme as of 2022?

❌ 2H 2022 Out of scope:
- Admin Pages: Although newer Admin Center pages may use the Horizon theme, the update process prioritizes the most common employee experiences and frequently-used pages. It isn't available on most Admin Center pages, including manager self-service.
- Legacy versions: If multiple versions are available of a given module or feature, Horizon may only be available in the latest version. For example, it's only available in the latest Continuous Performance Management, latest Goal Management, latest Course Home and latest Candidate Workbench and it's not available in Onboarding 1.0
📌 After 2H 2022 Which modules and pages remain to be updated to Horizon?
SAP SuccessFactors hasn't completed the planned updates to end-user features yet. As of the 2H 2023 release, the below pages or areas do not support Horizon: Employee Central Company Structure Organization Chart, Employee Central Service Center, Global Page Header: To Do’s + Pages not updated to Horizon apply different header styling, Employee Directory Search, Login page, Settings, Succession & Development, Presentations.
